What is Heart Health Radio?

This is Dr. Franklin Wefald, a cardiologist and internal medical specialist who practices in Smithfield, North Carolina. He is also the host of Heart Health Radio on NewsRadio 680 WPTF. It’s on Saturdays at noon.

Dr. Franklin Wefald, being photobombed. We really need to cut down on coffee consumption in the reception area.

This is the home for the radio show.

Heart Health Radio is not a promotional idea to get more people into his practice. He’s busy enough,

Toss out your ideas about infotainment radio, or weekend talk shows. His passion is your health.

The radio program is a live, call-in show. You’re invited to ask about anything on your mind, from the latest Facebook medical article, to your own health situation.

Dr. Wefald does not diagnose on the radio, but if you have a concern which has you worried, he’ll give you things to discuss with your doctor.

Dave Alexander is the co-host of the show as well as Chief Cook and Bottle Washer at this website. Here they both are, at a remote broadcast of Heart Health Radio:

  2. Great show! I had a aortic valve replacement in July 2019. Everything is going great. In July 2020 I got Cove it 19. Because of the heart condition should I get vaccinated, if so which one?
